Can't Find the Escape (ESC) key for Google Slides on Viewboard

I use Google slides with my students. Recently, the control panel disappeared. A message said I need to press ESC button to put the control panel back into view.
However, the keyboard on the view board did not have an ESC button. Where can I find the button on the viewboard so that I can view the control panel again?
