      @kavi-lo-myviewboard-com

      Here are the two most common issues I have with equation editor. 7129dd7f-9bae-45bc-bba4-b74b2ab76d86-image.png

      The first one is (sin x)^½ and the second is readable, but the parenthesis goes through the number. Both of these are for Myviewboard windows.

    • Online issue

      I work across multiple platforms (PC, Android, Online, Mac). I do like the online version (though a stand alone Mac version would be nice)to work at home as my Mac is my laptop, but the online version has a very tiresome lack of a feature. I use my Viewsonic board to put equations into my viewboard (*olf) files. When I open them up thru Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge the file show a broken symbol. This is highly inconvenient.

      There is also an issue with in the equation editor. It does not like to put parenthesis correctly around formulas, especially if the formulas have a exponent after. As a math teacher this tool is nice, but....

      @kaitlyn-peng-viewsonic-com

      My board started working right after the class was over. It was a server error, but it does make me wonder if saving to google drive is the best option. If someone has to get to work and it is only in the cloud, there could be an issue.

      The login does jump to Microsoft Edge and it says I've logged in, but the board does not respond.

    • Companion issue

      My software will not connect to my account. I am not able to load the pages that are saved in Google Drive (which is bound), mycompanion app won't connect the board, and I can't throw to the board.

      There seems to be a 500 server error.

    • Formatting a Slide

      When formatting a slide is there a function that snaps one object in line with another or shows the middles as being lined up? Both Google Slides and SmartNotebook have the function and it is helpful when trying to set up notes for future use.

    • Disable auto shut off.

      Hi,

      I have been using my ViewBoard with a keyboard and mouse attached to work on my notes. If I have it on during my prep and don't actively touch the screen it shuts off after 1 hr or so. Is there a way to either disable (not my first choice) or length the time before the board powers down?

      Thanks,
      Brian

    • RE: Myviewboard file management

      @michaelangelo-wu-tw-viewsonic-com

      Absolutely, I have tried each of your four different platforms and love how they connect to an online storage site of choice. But with the current setup, Windows doesn't talk to Android (without changing the file type), Windows doesn't talk to Classroom, Windows doesn't talk to Whiteboard, Android doesn't talk to Classroom or Whiteboard, and Classroom and Whiteboard don't talk to each other.

      Each program has its own benefits, but they all have limitations. My school supplies me with a Mac to take home, I have a desktop PC, a slot PC on the Viewboard(my primary), a Viewboard with a Chromebox(second classroom), and a SmartBoard in my second classroom. I can't work on setting up a canvas at home because your ecosystem doesn't talk to itself. I can upload my SmartBoard files with minor changes, but I like to come to class prepared and I can't with the current setup of the ecosystem within Viewboard.

      If it is as simple as setting the file type to .iwb, why isn't that the default? Or does the .iwb remove certain advantages that .vBoard has?

    • RE: Myviewboard file management

      @martin-sattler-tw-viewsonic-com

      Hi Martin,

      I know this is an old post, but I do have an issue related to it. I have two different ViewBoards I can work on. The one I use the most has the slot PC and therefore Windows 10, but my second has the Chromebox attachment. Above here it says I should be able to save files on my PC and open in android, which is directly on the second unit. I save everything to Google Drive and I have not been able to open any file between the two. If both the Windows and Android versions of MyViewBoard produce the same file (.vBoard) shouldn't I be able to open them on the second board?

      On a side note, the district I work for bought 60 of the units. I believe I am the only one still using your software. It needs to talk to different versions and needs to be able to be shared directly. Most of my colleagues have switched to Google Jamboard, so students at home can respond during these tough times. It is an easier program. The classroom online is clunky and often fails due to our rural setting.

    • RE: Android to Classroom

      One last thing. If the list above do-able, could you at least have the three platforms "talk" to each other? That alone would help with planning in an educational setting.
