    • RE: Student can join

      Hi Manuel,

okay, so there are two different applications:

      1. myViewBoard
      2. myViewBoard Virtual Classroom

And they use two different URLs:

      1. https://myviewboard.com/host <-- This is myViewBoard
      2. https://myviewboard.com/vhost <-- This is myViewBoard Virtual Classroom

Now let's talk about students. If they want to join, they also need to use the correct URL.

      1. https://myviewboard.com/join <-- Students use this to join myViewBoard.
      2. https://myviewboard.com/vjoin <-- Students use this to join myViewBoard Virtual Classroom.

So you can decide what application you want to use and your students need to make sure to use the corresponding URL to join.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need further assistance.

      Best Regards, Martin

    • RE: Google Login when using Advanced Protection

      Hi Andy,

Yeah that’s right. You cannot use a Google account with Advanced Protection turned on to log into myViewBoard.
Googles Advanced Protection blocks third-party apps such as myViewBoard. Only Google apps and very few other third-party apps can access your Google account. Unfortunately, there is no way to whitelist myViewBoard.
So, what you can do is:

      1. Turn off Advanced Protection, or
      2. Lower down the security level from Advanced Protection to 2-Step-Verification.
      3. Use your email address to sign in.

      Thanks and best regards,
      Martin

    • RE: Myviewboard file management

      Hi Bruce,
When you save your canvas in myViewBoard for Windows you get a .vBoard file. To open and edit .vBoard files you need powerful applications like myViewBoard for Windows or Android. myViewBoard.com, the online version is not able to open .vBoard files due to technical restrictions.
However, myViewBoard.com can open PDF files and you can export your canvas in myViewBoard for Windows as PDF too:

      • In myViewBoard for Windows:
      1. Open the file management menu (the folder icon on the toolbar).
      2. Click on the Export icon.
      3. Choose a destination folder and filename.
      4. Select PDF as file format.
      5. Click on the check mark icon.
      • In myViewBoard.com:
      1. Open the file management menu (the folder icon on the toolbar).
      2. Click on the Export/Import icon.
      3. Click on Import.
      4. Locate the PDF file you would like to import.
      5. Click on Open.
      6. Click the Play button on the floating toolbar.
      7. Use the arrows to browse through each page of the PDF file.

And your second question, why you can’t see your Box drive on the web application:
myViewBoard.com just supports Google Drive for now. To see more connected cloud services, you must use myViewBoard for Windows or Android.

      Thank you and best regards,
      Martin

    • RE: New to Viewboard

      Hi Joanna,

If you want to share your screen with Zoom, then the screen sharing is done by Zoom and not myViewBoard. So please make sure that your Zoom application works correctly. As soon as you can share your screen with Zoom, open myViewBoard for Windows or the myViewBoard WebApp (Google Chrome) and begin your presentation.

Since Zoom and myViewBoard are technically two different applications, you would not even have to integrate Zoom in the FollowMe AI settings to be able to use it with myViewBoard.

However, integrating Zoom has the advantage that you can start it quickly and easily while using myViewBoard.

For detailed instructions on how to integrate Zoom with myViewBoard, please click here:

    • RE: Can't see my drive content from myviewboard display

      Hi Chris,

we need a bit more information.

      • Which platform are you using? Android or Windows?
      • What version are you using?

      You also can try this:

      1. Go to https://myviewboard.com/
      2. Click on FollowMe AI -> Cloud Integrations.
      3. Check here whether Google is bound or not.
      4. If it's bound, it's actually good, but still click on unbind.
      5. Then authorize Google Drive again.
Here you can find more information: https://wiki.myviewboard.com/Cloud_Integration

      Another little thing:

Make sure you are using the same email address for myViewBoard Windows/Android, you used before on myviewboard.com

Maybe you have two email addresses?!
Email1 -> here is your google drive connected
Email2 -> no google connected but now you are using this email with your myViewBoard display

      Best regards and thank you,

      Martin

      Hello Manuel,

Neither me nor any of my coworkers around me can reproduce your problem. In myViewBoard for Windows we can access both, OneDrive (Personal Account) and OneDrive for Business (Work Account).

We are able to upload and download files using the MagicBox and we can see all our folders. All folders means, that we can even access the "root" folder of OneDrive and not just the myViewBoard folder.

      • We are using the latest version: 2.30.5.0_032720 - what is yours??

      • We have already bound OneDrive in the FollowMe settings on myViewBoard.com - you too??

      • Please sign in after starting myViewBoard for Windows.

Please check the requirements mentioned above and let me know if I can be of further assistance.

      Hi Jason,

Yes you are right. You cannot use the myViewBoard WebApp if you only have a basic account. However, you can use myViewBoard for Windows/Android for free and create your canvas there. For more information on the different account types, please see: https://myviewboard.com/pricing/

    • RE: Using myViewBoard in Distance Learning

      Hi Takshshila,

      To host a myViewBoard session:

Sign in to https://myviewboard.com, and click on the 'Start a myViewBoard session' icon. Click on the upper right side to see your session ID. Click the session ID to see more sharing options.
The next window provides three options to join a myViewBoard session:

      • Login code - participants who are in the same room as the host
      • QR code - best for users who are using mobile devices
      • URL link - send through instant messaging.

Distribute the code to all participants, and wait for them to join the session using one of the options above.

Now, the participants are able to join your myViewBoard session. To do this, the participant must do the following:

      • Go to https://myviewboard.com and click on the 'Join a myViewBoard session' icon. Signing in is not required.
      • On the new window, provide a name and a log in code. The log in code is the session ID provided by your myViewBoard host.

    • Using myViewBoard in Distance Learning

myViewBoard is optimized for distance learning, allowing educators to interact with their students even if they are not present in the same physical location.

Distance learning is any form of remote education where the student is not physically present for the lesson. With a variety of course types to choose from, there is a rise in flexible and affordable education options. In fact, there are a number of advantages of learning remotely over even traditional teaching models. To learn more, see the following resources:

    • RE: Fuzzy PDF

      Hi Kenneth,

I guess you are talking about the browser-based version of myViewBoard, right?

I've just uploaded a few different PDF files into myViewBoard and I couldn't reproduce your problem. If it's not confidential, can you send me a screenshot of this blurred PDF when it's imported in myViewBoard? Also, it might be helpful for us to have the PDF file itself.
